The Artist-in-Residence program is Magellan Development’s first-of-its-kind building amenity, designed to enhance residents’ lives with unique, in-house entertainment and programming while also promoting the area’s rich arts culture. The Gallery on Wells continues to encourage the artistic spirit of its residential community by welcoming Tyler Houston as its second Artist in Residence. Granted the title “Chef In Residence” based on his high end culinary background, Houston will join Magellan’s elite assembly of artists residing at their other high-rise communities, including Gallery Graffitist Luis Ramirez.
In exchange for one year of rent-free living in a modern unit at The Gallery, Houston will augment the artistic living experience by offering residents a range of services,
which may include sharing culinary tips and recipes, cooking demonstrations and group outings to local farmers markets.

Houston is the ideal culinary expert in-residence, with an impressive background as head chef with Denihan Hospitality Group,
sous chef at Soho House & Co and kitchen manager at The Publican.
He is currently the sous chef at Pacific Standard Time – the fresh, California-inspired restaurant next door to The Gallery on Wells.
